I would still be hesitant to choose radiology. AI might not completely replace radiologists in the next 5-10 years, but the use of AI will greatly reduce the amount of radiologists needed. AI will be improving massively over the next five years. Who knows what capabilities AI will have in the next 5-10 years. I guess if you don't plan on working for more than 10-15 years, you're probably good.
I think it's unlikely that AI will replace radiologists, but it will make them more efficient to the point that the demand plummets and potentially decrease salary.
I guess the DC3 was the limit of passenger transport by air.. AI will replace radiologists, just a matter of when.. maybe you will recall how large passenger aircraft had 3 flight crew ??? now there is even talk of reducing this to one...
As far as I've my analysis, research 🔍 & some of a common sense , no AI can't anytime replace Radiologists & Surgeons from their knowledgeable smart profession. Rather it would help & ease them to get their jobs done with perfection, something which can't be imagined 2-3 decades early. It's more boon/friendly than bane/foe. And it must be welcomed with open arms. It's future & inevitable. I'm in favor of technologies with it's use for betterment of mankind. Hope you agree with that Dr. Kevin Jubbal 👍🏿😊
It will be a long time before an entire physician specialty is completely wiped out by AI. An AI can only do what you tell it to do, meaning, we humans have to solve the problems first, do the research, design the new technologies, etc. before AI can make it efficient and automated.
It’s good that I’m still in the clear. Currently a junior majoring in pre-radiation therapy. Do you think it will be the case that AI will be a replacement within the next 10 years?
I'd have to look further into that AI Amazon hiring example mentioned in this video. Just because it picked all men doesn't mean it was biased. In fact, someone suggesting that picking all men for a certain job is biased could be a bias itself. Interesting nonetheless.
the answer is yes it can, it's just a matter of when, even surgical specialties can be eventually replaced, but not as quickly as specialties like radiology
It's kind of cute to see the ineptitude of capturing what the near future beholds. Lock in. The hyper drive is activated. We are currently evolving in real time. And as most of you know; evolution is mainly about the ability to adapt. Don't slug out. AI and robotics will come for almost all jobs. FAST
you underestimate the power of compound effect in tech specially in AI. Yes AI can never do it is weak. BUT AGI easily will do it. after AGI the ASI will be developed by AGI itself in the manner of weeks to months. GOOD LUCK.
i was about to choose radiology... yay i still can
same! current M3 planning M4 lmao

@@jameshartley929one could make that argument for any occupation.
@@jameshartley929one could make this argument for any occupation. Don’t let it stop you from choosing what you want to do with your life
It will be slightly more competative but we will never 100% rely on robots to make life altering choices
What a great vid. You pretty much covered everything I was contemplating regarding this complex change. Thanks!

as pre medical student I DO NOT WANT THIS HAPPEN.
Great video, I’m a high school senior working on research regarding the public perception of AI in healthcare!

Can you make a video on biomedical science? Is it worth to do?

I want to take admission in radiology (4 Year) degree program is this is a good decision for me? For future

can family medicine doctors be replaced by AI?

Do you think AI can replace cardiologists?
I think by the time AI replaces cardiologists it will have replaced most other jobs first
I mean cardiologists still do have their interventions & other procedures, and robotics still has a long way to come
no, for essentially the same reasons as in the video.

There must be a human component to everything
